Abstract

Understanding of the dynamic response of the Tokamak Machine and its components due to a seismic event is needed to ensure that the design is compliant with requirements for seismic loads. The objectives of the research are: · Creation of the Simplified models of the Tokamak Machine components and Tokamak Complex. The Guyan Reduction method has been studied and improved in order to create a simplified and light model for the Vacuum Vessel structure. · Determination of the seismic loads inside the Tokamak machine for the design of the equipment. The State Space method has been applied in order to carry on the seismic analyses on a complex structure such as the Tokamak Complex and the Tokamak Machine.
