Engineered hydrogel-based materials for oligonucleotide detection

2017

Abstract

In this thesis is shown the importance of the choice of materials and their characterization to modulate and predict final properties. In this way, it is possible to synthetize hydrogels with specific features and capture elements to combine both molecular filter capability and target detection. These engineered hydrogels represent in fact a tunable, fast, costless and easy platform for biomarkers detection.
