Il Catullo del manoscritto Parisinus Latinus 8458

This thesis is a critical edition of the Catullian manuscript Parisinus Latinus 8458. The research has two purposes: to verify if recent manuscripts are merely "deteriores" copies of the archetypes and passive receptors of humanistic conjectures, as most of critics claim, or whether they contain original and unattested variants; and, on the other hand, to try to date more precisely the manuscript and to investigate its relationships with the manuscript tradition and the first Catullian printed editions. The analysis is accompanied by an interpretative transcription of the manuscript and a rich critical apparatus in which each variant of the Parisinus is collated with the archetypes OGR and with the Catullian incunabula up to the "editio Trincavelliana" of 1535.

La presente tesi consiste in un'edizione critica del manoscritto catulliano Parisinus Latinus 8458. La ricerca ha un duplice scopo: da un lato verificare se i manoscritti recentiores siano davvero semplici copie deteriori degli archetipi e passivi recettori delle congetture umanistiche, come sostiene la maggior parte della critica, oppure se contengano varianti originali e inedite; dall'altro, tentare di datare con maggiore precisione il codice e gettare luce sui rapporti che lo legano ai primi incunaboli e al resto della tradizione manoscritta. L'analisi è accompagnata da una trascrizione interpretativa del manoscritto e da un ricco apparato critico in cui ogni variante del Parisinus è stata collazionata con gli archetipi OGR e con i primi incunaboli catulliani fino all'edizione Trincavelliana del 1535.
