The aim of the thesis is to analyze the latest innovation challenges in the Italian wine industry through a service ecosystem perspective. The first two papers of the thesis analyze how actors shape the digitalization process through digital platforms at national and international level. Indeed, the third paper addresses the challenges of the sustainable transition in the Italian wine tourism context. Methodology: Due to the exploratory nature of the research objectives it has been used qualitative methods: in depth interviews to key informants; participant observation; archival data and secondary data. Findings: From the analysis of the data collected relevant findings and conceptual frameworks it emerges to be useful to understand the dynamics between different actors of the ecosystem in the innovation processes in the Italian wine sector. The research shows how the meso level of the service ecosystem acquires a crucial role in the innovation process in the Italian wine industry. Research implications: The study aims to contribute to literature in the wine business regarding digitalization, sustainability and internationalization themes. The research led to the definition of new conceptual frameworks that can be applied in further studies on these themes. The research adopts the service ecosystem lens to understand the dynamics between actors on the Italian wine ecosystem.

Abstract
The research adopts the service ecosystem lens to understand the dynamics between actors on the Italian wine ecosystem.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
