LO SPIRITO DEL DENARO E CULTURA CATTOLICA IL SECONDO NOVECENTO BRESCIANO TRA FINANZA, EDITORIA E UNIVERSITA'

The thesis aims to reconstruct the publishing events, both Italian (as well as international with some pages about french case), but especially those of Brescia-based publishers in relation to the banking world, particularly with Banca San Paolo, presenting all the outcomes of this relationship. It also examines how this relationship between the banking and publishing sectors, particularly fruitful in the Brescia area, led—by describing the methods and key figures involved—to a significant milestone: the opening of the Brescia campus of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in 1965.

La tesi intende ricostruire le vicende editoriali anche italiane (come pure internazionali con alcuni ragguagli sul caso francese), ma soprattutto delle editrici bresciane in rapporto con il mondo bancario, ed in particolare quello con Banca San Paolo, offrendo tutti gli esiti di questa relazione. Si da poi conto di come questa relazione, tra banca ed editoria, appunto, particolarmente fertile in ambito bresciano, abbia condotto, descrivendo modalità e protagonisti, ad un traguardo non da poco, ossia l'apertura della sede bresciana dell'Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore nel 1965.
