I carmi dell'Anthologia latina attribuiti a Petronio. Introduzione, testo critico, commento.

La presente tesi propone una nuova edizione commentata dei carmi dell'Anthologia latina attribuiti a Petronio a partire dalla metà del '500, ma di autenticità incerta (AL 464–479; 650–651; 690–697 R. = frr. 26-51 M.). Nell’introduzione vengono trattate le tematiche fondamentali per un esaustivo inquadramento storico-letterario dei carmi: oltre a fornire informazioni sulla tradizione manoscritta e sulla storia editoriale, viene affrontata la controversa questione dell’autenticità. Il testo è frutto di un’attenta revisione critica, condotta sulla base di una nuova collazione dei testimoni conservati e del vaglio critico delle congetture avanzate nel corso dei secoli. Nel commento ad versum vengono offerte notazioni di carattere linguistico e stilistico e vengono motivate le scelte editoriali discutendo minuziosamente ciascun problema testuale ed esegetico. I carmi sono inoltre analizzati alla luce della tradizione letteraria alla quale dimostrano di rivolgersi, nell’intento di individuare le dinamiche allusive che regolano la loro complessa tessitura intertestuale. This thesis proposes a new critical edition with deep commentary of the Latin Anthology poems attributed to Petronius from the mid-16th century onwards, but of uncertain authenticity (AL 464–479; 650–651; 690–697 R. = frr. 26-51 M.). The introduction addresses the fundamental themes necessary for a comprehensive historical-literary framework of the poems: in addition to providing information on the manuscript tradition and editorial history, it confronts the controversial question of authenticity. The text is the result of a careful critical revision, conducted on the basis of a new collation of the preserved witnesses and the critical evaluation of conjectures put forth over the centuries. In the ad versum commentary, linguistic and stylistic notations are provided, and the editorial choices are motivated by meticulously discussing each textual and exegetical problem. The poems are also analyzed in the light of the literary tradition to which they appear to belong, aiming to identify the allusive dynamics that govern their complex intertextual weaving.
