Abstract
Isoprostanes (IsoPs) arise from the radical peroxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acids and are stereoisomers of the well-known prostaglandins. Since their importance as suitable biomarkers for a large number of different pathologies is increasing, the research of synthetic strategy for their production attracted the interest of organic chemists. In this PhD Theis work new synthetic ways to produce a known intermediate for the production of IsoPs has been explored. A novel and concise sequence with high control of the relative configuration of the stereocentres is presented.File in questo prodotto:
