The project is focused on the synthesis of novel polyfunctional chiral compounds starting from isohexides and on their use as chiral selectors, in molecular recognition processes and as new light-emitting materials. The central idea of the project is to develop new libraries of chiral selectors and light-emitting molecules starting from polyfunctional molecules, such as isomannide and isosorbide, two sugar derived molecules obtained from the chiral pool, and using cheap reactives, simple reactions and avoiding long purfications.

Abstract
The project is focused on the synthesis of novel polyfunctional chiral compounds starting from isohexides and on their use as chiral selectors, in molecular recognition processes and as new light-emitting materials. The central idea of the project is to develop new libraries of chiral selectors and light-emitting molecules starting from polyfunctional molecules, such as isomannide and isosorbide, two sugar derived molecules obtained from the chiral pool, and using cheap reactives, simple reactions and avoiding long purfications.File in questo prodotto:
