The subject concerns the transformations of ancient city, with the archaeological documentation. The choice of Durres developes from the Project †œProgettazione e Realizzazione del Parco Archeologico Urbano di Durrà«s†�, established in 2004 and now in progress. The geographical position in the South Illiria is on the border between the Greek and the Roman world. The research turn by the reading of ancient sources and the collection of available archaeological documents. The analysis of transformations concerned the environmental, political and urban variations. The main lines of research are the urbanistic and cultural changes of city, and in particular the romanization.
