Disruptions such as the COVID-19 pandemic require supply chains to be more resilient and sustainable. Building on this, these elements of sustainable development, such as circular economy, have become prominent in the industrial sector. In this regard, processes such as digitalization have garnered substantial attention from both academia and industry. The core systematic progression of supply chain development has been generally centered toward technology adoption; however, there is a lack of clarity and undisclosed internal pressures , and various environmental pressures that have stifled the upgradation of the supply chains.
