The Path of the Political Culture towards a Post Structuralist Theory. The case of the origin of the Tuscany political culture in the 19th century. [Verso una teoria post-strutturalista della cultura politica. Il caso dell'origine della cultura politica toscana nel XIX secolo.]

This thesis aims to provide a new theory of political culture. It attempts to overcome the historically dominant paradigms within the field of political culture and to provide a new post-structuralist perspective. In order to achieve this, the thesis does not limit itself to modifying or innovating previous models of studying the concept. While highlighting some prominent past achievements, this analysis is primarily concerned with the inevitable limitations of the various theorisations that have inspired many celebrated works. On the contrary, it offers a much-needed radical reflection that invests the fields of political ontology and the strategies for working with its ontic representations. In accordance with the poststructuralist paradigm adopted, the theory is then put to the test in a particular and paradigmatic case study. Applying the theory to the case of the political subculture of Tuscany allows us to bring to elucidate forgotten events and to provide a retroductive explanation of the phenomenon that has never been considered before.

Questa tesi mira a fornire una nuova teoria della cultura politica. Tenta di superare i paradigmi storicamente dominanti all'interno del campo della cultura politica e fornire una nuova prospettiva post-strutturalista. Per centrare questo risultato, il presente lavoro non si limita ad una modifica o innovazione dei precedenti modelli d'indagine del concetto. Anche evidenziando alcuni ottimi risultati passati, l'analisi si rivolge soprattutto agli inevitabili limiti delle diverse teorizzazioni che hanno ispirati molti lavori celebri. Al contrario, viene fornita una necessaria riflessione radicale che investe i campi dell'ontologia del mondo politico e le strategie per lavorare con le sue rappresentazioni ontiche. In ossequio al paradigma post-strutturalista adottato, la teoria viene poi messa alla prova in un caso di studio particolare e paradigmatico. L'adozione della teoria al caso della subcultura politica della Toscana permette di portare alla luce eventi dimenticati e di fornire una spiegazione retroduttiva del fenomeno inedita.
