The Acts of Andrew and Bartholomew is an apocryphal Christian text, probably ascribable to V century A.D. and to an Egyptian background. This text is transmitted in Greek, Coptic, Arabic and Ethiopian and the present work consists of a critical edition of the Greek version, still inedited. The story tells about the evangelization of Parthia through the apostles Andrew and Bartholomew and through an anthropophagus with monstrous aspect (Cristomaios/Christian), who was converted and became instrumentum fidei.
