TOWARDS THE BEHAVIOUR FACTOR OF STEEL FRAMES WITH BRB BRACES
2010
Abstract
Buckling Restrained Braces (BRB) represent an optimal solution for the design of steel struc-tures in high seismicity zones. In the United States and Japan, these systems have found a widespread use for both new and existing structures. Structural Codes of both Countries give design rules, while Eurocode 8 does not even mention the possibility of using these advanced bracing systems. The determination of the behaviour factor of BRB frames is a crucial point for the design rules.File in questo prodotto:
