Currently, embryo and oocyte cryopreservation are the most used strategies to preserve fertility in cancer women. However, for prepuberal patients or patients who have an estrogen sensitive cancer, they are not an option. Thus the aim of this thesis is the development of alternative strategies, that are cryopreservation of ovarian tissue and in vitro culture of ovarian isolated follicles. New protocols have been applied in order to improve actual efficiency of ovarian tissue cryopreservation. Moreover, isolated follicles have been grown in different alginate matrices.

2011
Abstract
Currently, embryo and oocyte cryopreservation are the most used strategies to preserve fertility in cancer women. However, for prepuberal patients or patients who have an estrogen sensitive cancer, they are not an option. Thus the aim of this thesis is the development of alternative strategies, that are cryopreservation of ovarian tissue and in vitro culture of ovarian isolated follicles. New protocols have been applied in order to improve actual efficiency of ovarian tissue cryopreservation. Moreover, isolated follicles have been grown in different alginate matrices.File in questo prodotto:
