Forme di autorappresentazione nella letteratura italiana contemporanea. Giorgio Vasta e Antonio Moresco

La mia tesi di dottorato indaga il problema delle scritture (semi-)autobiografiche negli ultimi decenni della letteratura italiana. In questo periodo si è registrato un notevole aumento delle narrazioni in prima persona, determinato sia da un crescente interesse editoriale per le figure autoriali sia da una riabilitazione filosofica del soggetto. La tesi si concentra soprattutto su due autori che incarnano questo mutamento in modo particolarmente radicale: Antonio Moresco (1947) e Giorgio Vasta (1970). Nel caso di Vasta, propongo la categoria di «realismo solipsistico» per descrivere una forma di scrittura che rappresenta un compromesso tra un'istanza realistica e una solipsistica. Nel caso di Moresco, analizzo sia i suoi romanzi visionari sia i suoi testi autobiografici, nel tentativo di chiarire il rapporto tra l’autorappresentazione e la retorica profetica che caratterizza alcune sue opere. I due autori condividono la ricerca di un realismo paradossale, in cui il massimo della distorsione soggettiva coincide con il massimo dell’oggettività. My doctoral thesis investigates the problem of (semi-)autobiographical writings in the last few decades of Italian literature. During this period, there has been a significant rise in first-person narratives, driven both by a growing editorial interest in authorial figures and by a philosophical rehabilitation of the subject. The thesis focuses in particular on two authors who embody this shift most radically: Antonio Moresco (1947) and Giorgio Vasta (1970). In the case of Vasta, I propose the category of “solipsistic realism” to describe a type of writing that represents a compromise between a realist impulse and a solipsistic one. In the case of Moresco, I analyze both his visionary novels and his autobiographical texts, in an attempt to clarify the relationship between his self-representation and the prophetic rhetoric that characterizes some of his works. The two authors share the pursuit of a paradoxical realism, in which the height of subjective distortion coincides with the height of objectivity.
