El capitalismo como filosofía política y jurídica en la obra de Ayn Rand

This work extensively analyzes Ayn Rand's Objectivism as a systematic philosophy, devoting particular attention to its political and legal-philosophical aspects. To that effect it delves exhaustively into those authors who exerted significant philosophical influence on Ayn Rand. It further endeavors to determine the extent of such influence. The interface between the Objectivist theoretical body, Rand's life and personality, and her historical, political, social, and cultural circumstances, is also examined. The actual relevance of Objectivism as a philosophy is thereby emphasized, and its tenets are critically assessed.

El presente trabajo analiza íntegramente el objetivismo como filosofía sistemática, prestando especial atención a su vertiente política y jurídica. A tal efecto, se profundiza exhaustivamente en los autores que ejercen influencia filosófica significativa sobre Ayn Rand y se determina en cada caso la entidad del impacto. Se explora igualmente la interrelación entre el cuerpo teórico objetivista, la persona de Rand y sus circunstancias históricas, políticas, sociales y culturales. Con todo ello se pone de relieve la efectiva relevancia del objetivismo como filosofía y se prepara el terreno a la satisfacción de un objetivo último: su sometimiento a crítica.
