The knowledge of heterogeneity in individual preferences represents a key factor for both private and public supplies and forms of Posterior Analysis on individual parameters are useful methodologies for detailed investigation. In the first case study a Random Parameter Logit Model is used to investigate individual preferences towards energy efficient technologies from Choice Experiments where respondents act as consumers and as citizens. Posterior Analysis with correlations and Structural Equations Model allow to test the coherence of individual choices and the validity of choice theories like the Value-Belief-Norm Theory. The second case study explores the potential of relatively simple econometric models associated with Posterior Analysis as alternatives for more complex specifications, through an application on energetic and environmental choices.

Abstract
The knowledge of heterogeneity in individual preferences represents a key factor for both private and public supplies and forms of Posterior Analysis on individual parameters are useful methodologies for detailed investigation. In the first case study a Random Parameter Logit Model is used to investigate individual preferences towards energy efficient technologies from Choice Experiments where respondents act as consumers and as citizens. Posterior Analysis with correlations and Structural Equations Model allow to test the coherence of individual choices and the validity of choice theories like the Value-Belief-Norm Theory. The second case study explores the potential of relatively simple econometric models associated with Posterior Analysis as alternatives for more complex specifications, through an application on energetic and environmental choices.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
