The research project - financed by the National Operational Programme ESF-ERDF "Research and Innovation" promoted by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research - aims to investigate, from an innovative perspective, a historical period that is still strongly at the centre not only of historiographic research, but also of public and political debate: the Risorgimento. It has been decided to give voice to journalistic sources and, specifically, to articles on the events and protagonists of the unification process, published between 1890 and 2011 in the two main regional newspapers: "L'Unione Sarda" and "La Nuova Sardegna".
