Taking the cue from an analysis of the legal concept of “hate speech” both in case law and doctrine (Chapter 1), the thesis aims to identify the limits to freedom of expression in Italian constitutional law (Chapter 5). It is based, on the one hand, on Constitution and related laws of implementation (chapter 2), and on the other, on both International and EU obligations (chapter 3), as well as foreign experience (chapter 4), especially about denialism and so called ‘memory laws’
