In Tunisia, the theme of the sculptures and reliefs, as a whole, has not been studied, yet it is not the archaeological documentation that is lacking, and whose content will be sufficient for a corpus project to be born and realized. In the synthesis dedicated to the history of the Promunturium Mercurii, very few pages are devoted to sculpture and reliefs which, in their majority, remain unpublished or little known, hence the interest of this research which tends to establish a documentary basis: the catalogue we propose is an exemplary manifestation of the encounter of different cultures. The theme of the sculptures and reliefs at Cap Bon is treated through an archaeological documentation which, despite its modesty from a quantitative point of view, is remarkable and contributes to enrich the artistic and cultural history of Cap Bon in the Punic and Roman periods.
