The present work deals with design, synthesis and characterization of materials based on platinum or iridium carbonyl clusters and electron donor and acceptor ligands. Several analytic techniques have been exploited, among them, IR and NMR spectroscopy, Fluorescence, X-ray diffraction, cyclic voltammetry and spectroelectrochemistry. Attention has been focused especially on the assembly of metal carbonyl clusters which has been made possible by the way of the use of multidentate ligands or molecular fragments. This allowed to obtain interesting materials with potential application in Electronics.

Abstract
The present work deals with design, synthesis and characterization of materials based on platinum or iridium carbonyl clusters and electron donor and acceptor ligands. Several analytic techniques have been exploited, among them, IR and NMR spectroscopy, Fluorescence, X-ray diffraction, cyclic voltammetry and spectroelectrochemistry. Attention has been focused especially on the assembly of metal carbonyl clusters which has been made possible by the way of the use of multidentate ligands or molecular fragments. This allowed to obtain interesting materials with potential application in Electronics.File in questo prodotto:
