This work examines the prose of Samuel Beckett from the perspective of the theme of disgust, and the way the author uses it to portray his views on reality. The textual analysis of part of his novels and plays is supported by an interdisciplinary approach, with specific reference to the fields of sociology and psychology. The analysis focuses on particular recurring themes in Beckett's ouvre, such as the body, the excrement, elderly sexuality, confusion between the birth and the evacuation.
