The thesis intends to deal in an innovative way with the theme of the identity of the goddess of the Parmenidean Proem, a highly studied and controversial topic, and to propose that she was the goddess Polyas first of Phokaia, the metropolis of the Phocaeans, and then of Elea, and that her cult mythopoeically anticipated the ontological connotations that Parmenides assigns to his concept of ἐόν

La tesi intende affrontare in maniera innovativa il tema dell’identità della dea del Proemio parmenideo, un argomento studiatissimo e controverso, e proporre che essa fosse la dea poliade prima di Phokaia, la metropoli dei Focei, e poi di Elea, e che il suo culto anticipasse mitopoieticamente i connotati ontologici che Parmenide assegna al suo concetto di ἐόν
