The research is about the role of the Municipality of Brescia first in the management of post-conflict reconstruction, and then in the launch phase of development which will be fully realized from the late fifties . Keeping in mind the municipal linked to the size , the study covers a period that includes the years ranging from democratic reconstitution of the Municipality , the local elections of 1946 and 1951 until the appointment of the election of 1956. 's Work focuses on the theme the rebirth of the city focusing on the economic aspects and analyzing a series of actions carried out by the administration led by Mayor William Ghislandi first , and then , since 1948 , the Mayor Bruno Boni . The exceptional transformations that crossed Italy in the first decade after the end of the war have been the subject of numerous studies . The historiography has deepened their varied orientations of the Italian society of those years, mostly focusing on the paths of continuity-discontinuity with the past and by focusing on the preconditions for the origin of the vigorous development of so-called " Italian miracle " in a prospect generating epochal changes of an economic, social and lifestyle as well as political . In the wide range of interests aroused by this historical study of various aspects of local government took over, especially since the eighties, a significant importance . As we will see , there are numerous case studies analyzed with reference to the size of the municipal animated in this phase by vigorous constructive tensions even on the basis of the development of theories that have neoistituzionaliste placed at the center of historical analysis the key driving role in both economic and social and cultural institutions, including the City . In this line historiographical aims to integrate this research indicates that just in the town one of the main architects of the rebirth of the city of Brescia in the Second World War.
