The aims of this study are to: • investigate the effect of functional diversity of cover crop species on two of the most relevant agro-ecosystem services: nitrogen supply and weed suppression; • highlight the role of functional composition (i.e. complementarity of cover crop species) on the provision of agro-ecosystem services; • characterise cover crop functional traits for competitive ability against weeds; • test conservative management strategies in organic/low input agriculture.

Abstract
The aims of this study are to: • investigate the effect of functional diversity of cover crop species on two of the most relevant agro-ecosystem services: nitrogen supply and weed suppression; • highlight the role of functional composition (i.e. complementarity of cover crop species) on the provision of agro-ecosystem services; • characterise cover crop functional traits for competitive ability against weeds; • test conservative management strategies in organic/low input agriculture.File in questo prodotto:
