From the study, we see either by echocardiography or cardiaca MRI an improvement in global systolic function of the left ventricle after , in a non significant way in the beta glucan and control group. An analysis of the inflammatory and oxydative markers, confirm the antioxydative and anti-inflammatory role, already analysed in other studies, of beta-glucans.
