This research project aimed at studying some aspects of the role played by endothelial cells in two different systemic autoimmune disorders, such as Progressive Systemic Sclerosis, where vascular disfunction plays a fundamental role in the initial phases of the disease and Rheumatoid Arthritis where endothelial cells play a pivotal role in the recruitment of cells of the immune system in the synovial membrane, site of chronic autoimmune aggression.
