The autistic image is a concept created in the Seventies by French educator Fernand Deligny. The ground of the idea, drawn from his experience alongside autistic children, was to trying to think about the nature of the image outside of the symbolic dimension. Just the lack of language and interpersonal relationships of the autistic children has been the constant reference point of his practical and theoretical paths. Referring only to what he could learn in community, Deligny has built over time a very personal way of thinking about the image in relation to the human experience. The autistic behavior of the image was essentially a way to reveal a specific aspect of subjectivity that is common to the humans. In this sense, the autistic image can operate as a paradigm for an anthropology of images. The work starts from the theory of dreams as a visual-virtual image in thought of French psychoanalyst Pierre Fédida, than proceeds connecting various issues to attempt, through a process of assemblage, to emphasize the anthropological range of this paradigm.

Abstract
The work starts from the theory of dreams as a visual-virtual image in thought of French psychoanalyst Pierre Fédida, than proceeds connecting various issues to attempt, through a process of assemblage, to emphasize the anthropological range of this paradigm.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
