Abstract

Triimidazo[1,2-a:1’,2’-c:1”,2”-e][1,3,5]triazine, is a molecule which has been studied by Cariati et. al. since 2017. This system possesses both Aggregation Induced Emission (AIE) and Room Temperature Ultralong Phosphorescence (RTUP) properties, whose discovery fueled further derivatization of the core: in fact, bio-active products, metal complexes and coordination polymers (CP), and phosphorescent organic emitters were synthesized and characterized. My work focused on a further derivatization of the TT scaffold with selected pendants, aiming at obtaining RTP materials and suitable ligands to be employed in luminescent metal complexes and coordination polymers.
