Abstract

synthesis of graphitic carbon nitride poweders from various precursors obrtained via fast and reproducible approaches and subsequently deposited on various substrates such as Ni and Cu foams, carbon cloths, carbon paper or FTO and finally functionalized with metal oxide or metal nanoparticles via radio-frequency sputtering. alternatively, the samples were obtained via PE-CVD of organometal precursors and functionalized with carbon nitride via electrophoretic deposition. after the synhtesis, the samples underwent a complete characterization procedure to obtain insights into the material properties and their relation to the final photoelectrochemical behaviour in the fields of water splitting, pollutant degradation and ethanol electro-oxidation.
