Since 2018, the European Commission has implemented the measures of the Action Plan with release of Sustainable Finance Package. These interventions have carried on the creation of European sustainable finance framework. The Commission's interventions have also impacted the insurance business, requiring the integration of sustainability into financial advice and prudential requirements, as well as reviewing other aspects not directly related to economic-financial concepts, such as transition risks in the context of climate change. The dissertation examined these fundamental aspects, highlighting the steps for a correct understanding of sustainability risks and, in particular, climate risks. Furthermore, the paradigm shift towards sustainable finance has generated a new risk, namely greenwashing. It has been analyzed how this type of risk, based on conduct risk framework, is part of the life cycle of the insurance product and its interactions with the sustainability preferences of customers. The latter, also significantly impacting the offer of insurance products, have spontaneously led to a careful and essential reflection in the current work on their potential connection with sustainability risks assessed at the level of the insurance company. All this has required new skills for the Risk Management, in addition to the creation of new processes at governance level and requires continuous updating to be an aware player in a constantly evolving world.

Abstract
All this has required new skills for the Risk Management, in addition to the creation of new processes at governance level and requires continuous updating to be an aware player in a constantly evolving world.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
