The thesis starts from the analysis of the new productive and social context in which museums have been moving in recent years, which have become - especially following the pandemic - increasingly centers for the production of intellectual services and the circulation of information. However, having noted, on the basis of economic data and analyses, the difficulty of many Italian museums (especially provincial ones) in pursuing these goals, low-cost techniques and tools for 3D acquisition and dissemination of cultural heritage have been researched. In collaboration with the Museo Mazziniano - Casa Mazzini in Genoa, which kindly provided its cultural heritage for the investigations, an attempt was made to probe the limits of equipment and tools potentially already present in museums or in the availability of its operators (computers, smartphones, spotlights, and a few other easily amortizable extras) to arrive at 3D models for study, virtual exhibitions, tactile models, re-installation projects, or even just for playful images to be used on social media and in informal contexts.

Abstract
The thesis starts from the analysis of the new productive and social context in which museums have been moving in recent years, which have become - especially following the pandemic - increasingly centers for the production of intellectual services and the circulation of information. However, having noted, on the basis of economic data and analyses, the difficulty of many Italian museums (especially provincial ones) in pursuing these goals, low-cost techniques and tools for 3D acquisition and dissemination of cultural heritage have been researched. In collaboration with the Museo Mazziniano - Casa Mazzini in Genoa, which kindly provided its cultural heritage for the investigations, an attempt was made to probe the limits of equipment and tools potentially already present in museums or in the availability of its operators (computers, smartphones, spotlights, and a few other easily amortizable extras) to arrive at 3D models for study, virtual exhibitions, tactile models, re-installation projects, or even just for playful images to be used on social media and in informal contexts.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
