Pedagogical research recognizes that theater has always had educational purposes since its origins: it passes on memory, tells stories, and promotes personal and social development. Theatre is like a mirror that reflects reality and our way of being and living in the world, a tool for self-understanding and identity building. Theatre connects the body and mind, promotes experiential and meaningful learning, stimulates metacognition and can provoke a transformative and improving reaction in our lives. Today, theater plays an important role in schools and is often included in educational programs. However, these often sporadic, extracurricular activities are not accessible to all students and sometimes led by teachers without specific training. The research project aimed to promote the use and dissemination of theater practice in schools. The research involved a group of primary school teachers in a research-training program aimed at acquiring professional skills in the field of theater and creating an interdisciplinary and cross-curricular theater mediation curriculum comprising more than 500 activities.

Abstract
The research involved a group of primary school teachers in a research-training program aimed at acquiring professional skills in the field of theater and creating an interdisciplinary and cross-curricular theater mediation curriculum comprising more than 500 activities.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
