Results demonstrated ATFs/CHOP induction and ER stress (initiated by PERK signaling) as one of the earliest event associated with UCB toxicity. However, PERK siRNA does not affected ATFs/CHOP induction by UCB while induced GCN2, suggesting a compensatory mechanism between PERK and GCN2 signaling.

Abstract
