The research explores the relationship between CO2 and other pollutant agents (SO2, PM2.5, and WasteWater) and economic development. To this extent, an econometric model of simultaneous equations has been developed, in order to get statistical evidence for the existence of such a relationship. The compatibility of economic development with the environmental quality reservation could point out the existence of the so-called "Environmental Kuznets Curve", which has to be empirically demonstrated.
