Miguel Antonio Caro y el pensamiento politico colombiano de la segunda mitad del siglo XIX

The aim of this work is to introduce a reconstruction of the politicaI thought of Miguel Antonio Caro. After Bolivar, «el padre de lo patria» and after Santander, «elfundador de lo republica», Caro can be rank as «el constructor del estado", (in its regeneration phase) after a long period of great instability and precariousness in Colombia. Against the length and the complexity of the topic, this research contexts the Caro's theoretical and practical work, by making an analytical reconstruction of his theoretical ideas and an uniform reading of the thought of the author.
