The inter-subjectivity concept does not feature as predominant in Merleau-Ponty's work, perhaps also because of the sudden interruption at the apex of his work. Nevertheless, it corresponds to a topic that is not marginal in the general economy of his thought, as it is situated at the crossroads between the great philosophical problems he deals with. This work aims to discover its role from an ontological point of view, by retracing the dialectical phases that justify its presence and its importance. The haecceity of the world and thinking the subjectivity in terms of "body-subject" allow the access to the other, throughout intercorporeity. By considering the language as a chiasm between corporeity of the language and original pre-sense, between speakable and unspeakable, the dehiscence towards others becomes possible. In the general framework of an ontology that is enriched by the characteristics of the "vertical being" or "savage", to which the non-knowledge and non-being refer, the bodily network that bonds all the beings cannot give up intersubjectivity, seen as a constitutive relationship of the embodied human being which is grafted into the world. The identity-making and narcissistic boundaries of the subject are redefined through a reciprocity link that takes effect more on a communication level than a bodily one. Hence, Merleau-Ponty succeeds in his purpose to show the role of intersubjectivity in ontogenesis on the bases of the constitutive and dynamical opening of the beings in the flesh of the Being.
La portata ontologica del concetto di intersoggettività in Merleau-Ponty
Abstract
Hence, Merleau-Ponty succeeds in his purpose to show the role of intersubjectivity in ontogenesis on the bases of the constitutive and dynamical opening of the beings in the flesh of the Being.I documenti in UNITESI sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
