This doctoral thesis focuses on the critical and annotated edition of "Fior de Delia", a poetic collection by the Neapolitan poet Antonio Ricco (15th-16th centuries), published in Venice by Manfredo Bonelli in 1507. After outlining the author’s biographical profile and the historical and cultural background in which his poetry developed, the work examines the textual tradition, with particular regard to the relationship between the first printed edition and manuscript Vitt. Em. 949 of the National Central Library in Rome, which contains an earlier version of the work. Through an analysis of sources, literary models and intertextual relationships, the study also reconstructs the author’s engagement with the lyric tradition and with Petrarchist and courtly poetry, situating the "Fior de Delia" within the broader cultural context of the early sixteenth century.
