This thesis brings together the results of research conducted on the letters preserved in this archive and in the Giovanni Papini Archive of the Fondazione Primo Conti in Fiesole (Florence), as well as on other manuscript and typescript documents held in the Mitchell Dawson Collection at the Newberry Library in Chicago, Illinois, and in the Rare Manuscripts Collection of the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library in New Haven, Connecticut. The systematic study of these primary sources made it possible to gather the information necessary to reconstruct Carnevali’s biography and the self-representation he projected in his correspondence with family members. More importantly, it provided the basis for developing an interpretative hypothesis of his poetic and prose works, grounded in a philological and critical analysis of the texts.

Abstract
More importantly, it provided the basis for developing an interpretative hypothesis of his poetic and prose works, grounded in a philological and critical analysis of the texts.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
