In this thesis we present the research conducted during the three-year PhD program at the University of Genova, under the supervision of Professor Alberto Sorrentino. The PHD was primarily focused on inverse problems from a Bayesian perspective; this regarded both methodological advancements and a specific application domain: the Magneto-Elettro/EncephaloGraphy (M/EEG) inverse problem.
