The aim of this dissertation is to show how traditional poetic formulas are transformed in Luis García Montero’s poetry according to the Postmodern view of literature developed by the so called “Poesía de la experiencia”. Starting from a study of the recurring images of the first person, the analysis focuses on García Montero’s creation of a literary space that expands from the inner essence of the poetic persona, passes through the representation of the body and finally reaches the construction of the literary cities. The textual analysis – developed with the Groupe μ rethoric – reveals how classical literary images are transformed in order to suggest the creation and the need of getting possession of a new public space (poetry) and the recovery of the “incomplete project of modernity”, in agreement with Habermas’s theory of Postmodernism.

Abstract
The aim of this dissertation is to show how traditional poetic formulas are transformed in Luis García Montero’s poetry according to the Postmodern view of literature developed by the so called “Poesía de la experiencia”. Starting from a study of the recurring images of the first person, the analysis focuses on García Montero’s creation of a literary space that expands from the inner essence of the poetic persona, passes through the representation of the body and finally reaches the construction of the literary cities. The textual analysis – developed with the Groupe μ rethoric – reveals how classical literary images are transformed in order to suggest the creation and the need of getting possession of a new public space (poetry) and the recovery of the “incomplete project of modernity”, in agreement with Habermas’s theory of Postmodernism.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
