The main goal of my Ph.D. thesis is the study of light scattering and light trapping in complex photonic structures suitable for the harvesting of light in photovoltaic (PV) devices. To this purpose, the new phenomena emerging from the optical investigation of the fabricated structures have been interpreted by theoretical frame of multiple-scattering of light.
