When compared to any other text dealing with the micro-macrocosm correspondence, whether Jewish or non Jewish, the Sefer Yeṣirah seems to stand out: although it presents a set of correspondences between the celestial bodies and the human body, the sequence it proposes strongly differs from any other treatise dealing with such an association. A hypothesis is presented that tries to explain this and other peculiarity of the text and suggest a collocation in the context of mnemotechnic works, in line with recent research.
